Dimension prevents you from accidentally trading outside pre-set parameters. If you have a maximum number of stocks in a portfolio, or rules around holdings of specific assets such as cash, Dimension warns if trading activity breaks any of those parameters. Pre-trade compliance is run before a trade is completed, checking for potential breaches to pre-set parameters. Dimension provides warnings when parameters are breached, allowing the investor to execute trades knowing they are within their mandate.
